Zac Scotton, defensive end, was born on May 25, 1989 and grew up in Houston, Texas. He was a beast on the field for his high school football team, Cypress Creek. At 6'7", Zac Scotton was literally heads and shoulders above his opponents. During his senior campaign, Zac Scotton made 55 tackles, 33 of which were solo, and five sacks. He was also a top notch baseball pitcher.
In 2007, Zac Scotton redshirted. In 2008 he competed in all 12 games and earned his first letter. He even had a chance to start 3 games toward the end of the season. He earned first-team Academic All-Big 12 honors.
