Willie Jefferson hails from Beaumont, Texas. He played high school ball for the Beaumont Ozen High School team and was noticed for his size and speed. Most wide receivers of his class were up to 8" shorter than Willie Jefferson and his height helped give him a leg up on the competition. Willie Jefferson made some great plays above the arms of his opponents, hauling the ball as a starter his senior year and making many touchdowns over the course of his high school career.
The talk about Willie Jefferson is if his skills are ready for college level play. He selected the Baylor Bears during his senior year of high school and after graduating in 2009, he seems ready to go. But the Baylor Bears are competitive for the position of wide receiver for if Willie Jefferson decided to redshirt or find a new niche on the field, it might be wise and better prepare him down the road.
