Baylor Bears Player Philip Blake hails from Toronto, Ontario--a fellow Canadian to Baylor Bears teammate Danny Watkins. In 2005, Philip Blake graduated from Father Henry Carr Catholic Secondary School in Etobicoke, Ontario though he played football for Champlain Regional College in Lennoxville, Quebec.
Post-high school, Philip Blake took a few years off. Then he competed on the Tyler Community College team down in Texas. As a freshman in 2008 he did well enough to earn second-team All-SWJCFC honors for his work on the offensive line.
In 2009, Philip Blake came back fro his second and final season on the Tyler Community College football team. He started all 12 games and earned his varsity letter. He graded out at 82 percent with 76 tackles.
