Baylor Bears Player Nick Florence may be known for his football prowess, but his academic strengths are certainly more impressive! He was second out of over 400 in his graduating class at South Garland High School in Garland, Texas. He also scored over 1,200 on the SAT during his first try.
Nick Forence did have a strong football run on the high school team, though. As quarterback he completed 212-of-357 passes for 3,047 yards and 30 touchdowns as a senior. He was ranked highly by Rivals.com and Scout.com.
After high school, Nick Florence followed in his parents' footsteps and attended Baylor. On the Baylor Bears football team in 2009, Nick Florence was a true freshman who saw playing time in 9 games with 7 starts. This is huge for a true freshman, especially as a quarterback! But Nick Florence surpassed expectations and by season's end he had thrown for 1,786 yards on 165 completions and 266 attempts and made six TDs and nine interceptions.
