Baylor Bears Player Kaeron Johnson was born and raised in Cuero, Texas. He attended Cuero High School.

The Cuero High School football squad was Kaeron Johnson's place to shine. He played as an offensive guard, tight end, and defensive end. Between these diverse roles, Kaeron Johnson made 58 tackles and nine sacks during his senior season.

Honors soon followed. Kaeron Johnson was a third-team Texas Sports Writers Association Class 3A all-state honor player for tight end and defensive end. the AP gave him second-team Class 3A all-state defensive tackle honors. He was a first-team All-District 29-3A in the positions of tight end and defensive end.

On a different sort of field, Kaeron Johnson also performed well. He was a top notch discus thrower on the track and field team and ended third in Class 3A at the state meet in 2008.

Kaeron Johnson enrolled at Baylor in fall 2008. He redshirted his freshman season on the Baylor Bears football roster. In 2009 he competed in 11 or 12 contests to earn a letter and he ended the year with three tackles.
