Number 21, Jarred Salubi, was born on September 10, 1989 and grew up in Waco, Texas. During his years at Waco High School, Jarred Salubi excelled at football and track. During his senior year he caught 24 passes and rushed 168 times for 1,306 yards and 15 touchdowns. He was a second-team Waco Tribune-Herald Super Centex honoree. On the track, Jarred Salubi ran on the Waco High's state championship 4x100-meter relay team. His 4x200 team took second.
In 2008 Jarred Salubi redshirted with the Baylor Bears.
