Jameon Hardeman, born on January 1, 1987, hails from Dallas, Texas. He graduated from Justin F. Kimball High School where on the football team he notched 70 tackles, 6 quarterback sacks, 3 forced fumbles and 1 fumble recovery his senior year. He was selected to play in the Coca-Cola Bowl and earned many honors from local newspapers.

After initially signing with the Arizona State Sun Devils, Jameon Hardeman decided not to go out for their football team and he transferred halfway through the year to Baylor. In 2007, Jameon Hardeman played in 9 games for the Baylor Bears. He was a reserve defensive end and made 4 tackles.

In 2008, Jameon Hardeman played in all 12 games as a reserve. He earned his first Baylor varsity letter and ended the season with 12 total tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, and one sack.
