Football runs in Elliot Coffey's blood. His father was a safety for the Washington Redskins back in the 80s and Elliot Coffey definitely grew up in a football loving family!
Elliot Coffey was raised in Sugar Land, Texas. Elliot Coffey graduated from Fort Bend Clements High School after an impressive high school career. Elliot Coffey was a two-time All-District 23-5A player and was labeled one of the top 20 defensive backs in the football saturated state of Texas.
Elliot Coffey graduated in 2007 after capping his senior season with 59 tackles, three interceptions, hauling in 17 passes totaling 350 yards and five touchdowns, and rushing 87 times for 500 yards and five touchdowns.
Elliot Coffey opted to redshirt his fall 2007 freshman season. In 2008 he was ready for Baylor Bears action and earned a few spots on the field. After moving from safety to linebacker, he saw action in all 12 games and made 14 tackles.
