More Info
Clifton Odom was born on October 2, 1988 and grew up in Arlington, Texas. His father, Cliff Odom, is a widely known name in the NFL because of his 13 years in the NFL as linebacker with Indianapolis Colts and Miami Dolphins.
Clifton Odom played high school ball at James Martin High School. He was a top 50 recruit at his positions of running back and cornerback. He was also a first-team district pick during his senior year. That same year resulted in 21 tackles and 8 pass break-ups. Clifton Odom was talented off the gridiron, too. He was the district's 100 and 200 meter champion and captain of the track team since his sophomore year.
As a member of the Baylor Bears football team, Clifton Odom played in all games as cornerback and had 12 tackles. This translates to 251 snaps which helped him to earn his first varsity letter.
In 2008, Clifton Odom was back for his sophomore year. He competed in seven games, primarily as cornerback and special teams. In spring 2009, he suffered a broken elbow and was sidelined during offseason training.
