Number 36, Chris Francis, was born on November 25, 1988 and grew up in Waco and Cedar Hill, Texas. Chris Francis' father was record-breaking player for the Baylor Bears and a first round draft pick in the NFL and played for the Cincinnati Bengals for 8 years plus the Washington Redskins for one. Additionally, Chris Francis' uncle played in the NFL for three seasons.
As a football player at Cedar Hill High School, Chris Francis closed out his years with 212 tackles and 5 sacks. His team went 16-0 during his senior year and was the defensive MVP of the team after their state championship.
As a true freshman with the Baylor Bears in 2007, Chris Francis participated in 11 games as linebacker and made 19 tackles. He was recognized as a Sporting News' All-Big 12 freshman team. This happened in spite of missing the season opener due to a knee injury.
In 2008, Chris Francis was back to competing for his spot, like everyone else on the team. He became a backup linebacker, but was able to play in every game. He had at least one tackle in ten games. By season's end, Chris France recorded 23 tackles, 1 interception and 1 fumble recovery.
