Number 52, Blake Simpson, hails from Texas like the majority of his Baylor Bears teammates. He was raised in Fort Worth, Texas and spent his high school years attending the All Saints Episcopal High School. As a member of the All Saints Episcopal High School football team, Blake Simpson gained several starts and racked up playing time to catch the attention of the Baylor Bears by his senior season.
Blake Simpson selected the Baylor Bears above a couple other interested schools. He chose to redshirt his first season in 2008 in order to gain some knowledge of the college game and to improve off-field.
