Antonio Jones was born on May 19, 1987 and grew up in Dallas, Texas. He attended Lincoln High School where he recorded an impressive streak during his senior year campaign. Just listen to these numbers: 156 tackles (44 for loss), 8 forced fumbles, 6 fumble recoveries and 5 sacks. No wonder why he was voted team MVP and Defensive Player of the Year!
In 2005, Antonio Jones redshirted. In 2006, he was able to start 3 games and compete in 9. He recorded 44 tackles or stops and had 0.5 tackles for loss and 1 pass breakup. In 2007, Antonio Jones competed in 8 games. He made 22 tackles, 8 of which were solo. Injury kept him out of 3 games of the season but he bounced back halfway through the year to receive his second Baylor Bears varsity letter.
In 2008, Antonio Jones was the starter in all 12 games. He made 71 tackles, five tackles for loss, and 3 sacks. Due to this work, he was recognized as a member of the Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll.
