Antareis Bryan was born on May 20, 1988 and grew up in Dallas, Texas. In high school, Antareis Bryan developed his football and track skills. As a Carter High School football player, Antareis Bryan started all 12 games his senior year--a year in which the team won the district title and made it to the second round of state playoffs. He made 45 tackles, 6 pass breakups, and 3 interceptions during his senior year. By spring, he was the MVP of the Carter track team and was a district champion in long jump, 4x100, and 4x200.
This talented athlete redshirted his first season in 2006. In 2007, he played in 10 games. Over the course of the year he made 17 tackles, 10 of which were individual. He also earned a place on the Sporting News' All-Big 12 freshmen team.
As a sophomore in 2008, Antareis Bryan competed in 10 games and started 3. He accumulated 33 tackles, 8 pass breakups and 1 interception.
