Baylor Victorious in Alamo Bowl, Great Year to Be a Baylor Football Fan

It’s no secret the Baylor football team had star power in 2011, but to be put down in the record books as the winner of the highest-scoring regulation bowl game in history, is golden. The Baylor Bears football team beat the Washington Huskies 67-56 in the wildest shootout of this bowl season or any other in memory.
It was up and down the field for both teams during the Alamo Bowl. Baylor Quarterback Heisman Trophy winner Robert Griffin III had a solid night throwing one touchdown pass and running for another. He had to share the spotlight with Terrance Ganaway who rushed for an amazing 200 yards and five touchdowns.
It was a great night to be a Baylor football fan! The high scoring game was fun to watch and if you missed it, it wasn’t our fault. We had tickets available even at the last minute!

Baylor Bears Beat Texas Longhorns

Robert Griffin III delivered an outstanding performance to life Baylor to its best football all year.
Griffin ran for two touchdowns, passed for two more and led the Bears to a 48-24 win over Texas. Griffin passed for 320 yards with touchdown passes of 59 and 39 yards.
Baylor reached its first nine-win season since 1986 and will be going to a bowl game for consecutive years for the first time since the early 1990s.
The Longhorns will also be going to a bowl game. Their return to the bowl scene comes for the first time since playing for the national championship after the 2009 season.
